Defining your purpose provides you with clarity, motivation, and a clear direction in your life. It helps you set realistic goals, make logical decisions, and to be accountable for your actions. By knowing your purpose, you can focus on the things that matter most to you and find fulfillment in your mundane daily activities. Additionally, having a clear purpose can improve your mental and emotional well-being, as you feel a sense of meaning and fulfillment in your life.
Recently I decided to quit my first bartending job after 2 months of working. At first I was super excited to embark on a new journey and to do something outside of my element. Then I realized that I wasn’t living up to my fullest potential by not focusing on my blog. Although the tips were great, I was really loosing motivation to write and that’s alarming. I wouldn’t fully blame the job for me loosing motivation but it does take up a lot of my time and I needed a reason to take my time back. In the past, I’d feel guilty for taking my time back because I didn’t know my worth until now.
Knowing your worth means recognizing your personal value and capabilities, and not settling for less than what you deserve in various aspects of life, such as relationships, work, and personal growth. It involves self-awareness, self-respect, and confidence in your abilities. By knowing your worth, you can set healthy boundaries, make informed decisions, and pursue your goals with a sense of purpose and fulfillment. If you’re struggling with knowing your worth or even redefining your purpose, it’s time to take a few notes on how to get in alignment with your higher purpose.
It’s important to have a clear vision of your purpose and to keep it in the corner of your mind no matter what you’re experiencing in this life. Everything you do should helping you to get closer to a goal or for you to gain fulfillment. As a writer, I want to be motivated to write consistently even if it’s not published and the same goes for you. If you are passionate about something and you’re experiencing blockages of motivation, you’re most likely being consumed by an activity, person, or overall energy that is hindering you from utilizing your craft.
Sometimes you just need a fresh start, a reminder, and to reevaluate the things that you need to be working on at this time. But don’t quit your job until you’re ready, you’ll know when it’s time to move on. When that time comes, trust that God will bring you through and towards a better opportunity.

Redefining your purpose means revisiting and clarifying your goals, values, and mission in order to create a clearer and more focused direction for your life or work. It involves taking time to reflect on your current situation and identifying areas for growth, change, and improvement. This process can help you align your actions with your values and create a sense of meaning and fulfillment in what you do.
