As a woman, I’m not proud of who I am today

Being a sad black girl is a complex and deeply personable experience. As black women, we all have different reasons to be sad because our reality is less whimsical as others. The intersectionality of race and gender adds layers of complexity to the already challenging task of navigating one’s emotions.

From the beginning of time, women have been finding different ways to tap into their femininity. Whether itโ€™s through self care, having children, or simply being of service to other women. But one of the most common things that every woman can relate to is having insecurities, even Barbie!
